Cool handle! I sometimes use madscientist. This is a good question. The process of ebola infection is still being understood. What is clear that the virus can remain in some organs, like the eye or brain for a much longer time than the original infection. While it is contained in these organs the chance of it infecting others is not very high. This is why nobody else in Scotland was infected after the nurse who caught ebola in Sierra Leone had a relapse.
