      From the experiments that we do, we use maths to make equations that explain why/how it happened. When you have an equation, you can apply lots of different conditions to something.

      Mathematically, travelling faster than light would mean going back in time. In reality however, we don’t know of anything that can travel faster than light. So the maths predicts something that we can’t create.

      A lot of discoveries have come from extending the maths that explains something, so it is strange that here is something that doesn’t seem to work. It may be that we aren’t technologically advanced enough, it might be that it’s only possible on paper.
