• Question: what came first the chicken or the egg?

      The egg, definitely the egg. Only when it grew up did we know about a chicken’s existance.

      Some friends and I have spent a long evening at the pub discussing this.

      It depends what egg you mean – if it’s any egg, then fish were laying eggs long before anything crawled out onto the land and evolved into a chicken.
      If you mean a chicken’s egg, then the chicken has to exist first to lay a chicken’s egg.
