• Question: why do cows moo?

      A cow mooing is their equivalent of us talking – they don’t have the complex brain or vocal chords to make such complicated noises as we do, but you could say they don’t have as much to say to each other as we do.

      So why do we talk? To tell each other things like where each other is, if there is danger or food nearby, or to know when our children need something 🙂

      What Lewis said. Researchers have identified two different types of moos that mother cows make to their calves. One is a special where are you moo when the calves wander too far away. Calves make a different type of moo when they are separated from their mothers and are hungry.
