I don’t know very much about dreaming, brain function and neuroscience. My best guess is based on some science news articles I’ve read recently. Dreaming is an important part of how we make sense of the things we have seen, done and learned during the day. Dreaming helps us process all of this information and store it in a form that we can use in the future. I have no idea exactly how this happens and I think it is still a subject of intense research. If you are interested in finding out more, maybe you could try reading some of the issues from ‘Scientific American Mind’, or maybe ‘New Scientist’ You can sometimes find this in WH smith or similar stores. Your local library may also have a subscription.
