So Triple Science (if it’s still called that??) and Maths are essential at GCSE, youll need them for A-levels. For A-levels Id recommend Physics (obviously), Maths, Further Maths (if its available), and Statistics wouldn’t hurt (though that might be a module in Maths). Basically anything numbery (but don’t overload yourself like I did – it did not go well for me..)
I’m not sure. At York entry into biochemistry requires a chemistry A level and a second science or maths at A2 and for molecular cell biology requires Biology A level and chemistry or maths at A2. So for GSCE level you would be looking at taking whatever prerequisite subjects your need for Biology, chemistry and maths at A levels.
