The hardest thing I have achieved (so far) is my undergraduate degree in Physics – my final year was really tough, and took a lot of time and a lot of effort (especially writing my dissertation). It represented three years work, so there was a lot of pressure on to make it good!

The transition from being a student (taught) to a researcher (independent) was the best and the hardest acheivement for me so far.

Having to write that research proposal so that somebody (much smarter and much more experienced than me) sitting at a desk thought my scientifc ideas had a potential, and that it was worth investing their money and time into was a big deal! It’s very self motivating when you’re through though.
